Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, to achieve a therapeutic response. It enhances the function of muscles and joints. It improves the circulation of the blood and lymph, relieves pain and stress, and may reduce blood pressure. Massage therapy has a sedative, calming effect.
Massage therapy is designed to rehabilitate, maintain or improve physical function by performing manipulation techniques. Massage therapists are also trained in hydrotherapy and remedial exercise. The therapeutic effects of massage therapy benefit men, women, pregnant women, infants, children and the elderly and can provide relief from a wide variety of mild and acute conditions.
Massage may not be performed if you have:
- A fever, or other signs of acute infection or inflammation;
- A skin condition that is undiagnosed or contagious;
- A severe or unstable heart condition;
- Diabetic complications such as gangrene, advanced heart or kidney disease, unstable blood pressure;
- Some highly metastatic cancers;
- Severe asthma attack;
- Severe allergy attack;
- Untreated and unstable hypertension; or
You can call us at 902-843-7475. Our receptionist is on duty Monday through Thursday 9am – 7pm and Fridays 9am – 5pm. If we cannot get to the phone, leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can. We try to return all calls in about an hour.

Absolutely! We can arrange hospital and home visits on a case by case basis, if you cannot make it in to the clinic for physical reasons.

You are responsible for 50% of the fee for a missed appointment unless you provide at least 24 hours notice of cancellation.
We will make every effort to contact you with a reminder of your appointment time in the days prior to your booking and ask that you call the clinic to confirm your appointment time if necessary.
During unusual circumstances, such as illness or bad weather, in the absence of adequate cancellation or attendance, you can request that your appointment be conducted over the phone. Please note, however, normal visit charges will apply.
