Registered Acupuncturist

We are seeking a Registered Acupuncturist, with a desire to ensure patients are receiving the optimal care possible with services to improve quality of life, enhance performance and deliver that in conjunction with a team of professionals and their services. At this time our established clinic has chiropractic, naturopathy, osteopathy and registered massage therapy services plus hot yoga. You will work with this team to provide patient wellness in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must be registered and a member in good standing with a recognized acupuncture association

• Possess liability and malpractice insurance

• Ability to work positively and professionally in a team environment with other health care professionals

• Additional accreditations considered assets

Chiropractor

We are looking for a Chiropractor, interested in active patients, 2 – 4 days a week at our main Prince Street clinic as well as our satellite clinic located on Dalhousie University – Agricultural Campus. Currently our established clinic of 22 years has chiropractic/orthotics, naturopathy/acupuncture, osteopathy and registered massage therapy services plus hot yoga. You will work with this team to provide patient wellness in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Please refer to our website for details on our practitioners.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate from a from a CCE(C) recognized chiropractic institution, 
  • Registered and a member in good standing with Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors
  • Possess liability and malpractice insurance
  • Ability to work positively and professionally in a team environment with other health care professionals
  • Additional accreditations considered assets

Physiotherapist

We are looking for a Physiotherapist, with a desire to ensure patients are receiving the optimal care possible with services to improve quality of life, enhance performance and deliver that in conjunction with our team of professionals to provide patient wellness in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

Currently our established clinic of 22 years offers chiropractic/orthotics, naturopathic medicine/acupuncture, osteopathy and registered massage therapy services as well as hot yoga. 

You will work with this team and will be the primary for all Workers’ Compensation Board claims. Physiotherapy will function with the philosophy of utilizing our team to facilitate treatment and care of patients.

Physiotherapists perform some or all the following duties:

  • Assess patients' physical abilities such as functional ability tests
  • Establish treatment goals with patients based on physical diagnoses
  • Plan and implement programs of physiotherapy including therapeutic exercise, manipulations, education, the use of electro-therapeutic and other mechanical equipment
  • Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and modify accordingly
  • Communicate with referring physician and other healthcare professionals 
  • Maintain clinical and statistical records and consult with other health care professionals
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs for patients, staff and the community
  • May conduct research in physiotherapy
  • May provide consulting or education services.

Physiotherapists may focus their practice in areas such as neurology, oncology, rheumatology, orthopedics, obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary disorders, burns or sports injuries or in the field of ergonomics.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A university degree in physiotherapy and a period of supervised practical training are required.
  • A license or registration with a regulatory body is required to practice physiotherapy in all provinces.
  • Completion of the Physiotherapy National Exam, administered by the Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards, may be required
