Protocols for Covid -19

Nova Scotia has done quite well with the response to COVID-19. Legge Health Clinic has adopted several new protocols in response to the NS government’s re-opening recommendation.

All patients, staff and practitioners are required to wear protective 3ply non-woven disposable face-masks, of your own or provided by Legge Health, during your visit to the clinic.
Our clinic has been separated into two teams, including our office receptionist, our room prep/cleaner and five practitioners per four-hour shift.
Each practitioner and staff will be wearing clinic only clothing during their time at the clinic. -Each practitioner will be using 2 rooms which will be sanitized and clean to the standards by Health Nova Scotia.
Only one patient will be permitted in reception at a time. -You will be provided a mask and the details of where you will be treated upon arrival.
Hand sanitizer will be provided at the clinic entranceway, in all treatment rooms, washrooms and reception.
We are in transition into a paperless clinic, all appointment schedules, receipts and statement will be emailed.
All of our intake, consent and release forms will be emailed to you. You may complete these forms at home if you are able to print them out and bring them to the Clinic. If not, will also have the option to complete these required forms on a computer at the clinic prior to the virtual consultation.
We are no longer accepting cash, interact, E-transfers and credit card payment only.
You will be emailed a Prescreening questionnaire to prepare you for your first meeting - either virtually on a device or in person.
If you are a new patient or this is a re-evaluation appointment, you will be contacted for a virtual consult within 2 days of your clinic appointment.
- If you know the practitioner you want to see, that is who will be contacting you for a pre-treatment telehealth screen or phone call.
- If you are requesting massage therapy or if you are unsure which practitioner you should see, then Patrick, the clinic owner will contact you for the virtual appointment/ phone call to assist you.

The clinic will email you our prescreen questionnaire, for you to complete and assess if there are any issues causing you to reschedule your appointment - such as if you are unwell and exhibiting symptoms that would preclude you from visiting our Clinic. Your healthcare practitioner will contact you the morning of your appointment to confirm your prescreening status. We are requesting that you call the clinic ‭(902-843-7475)‬ upon your arrival in our parking area, so reception may be able to conduct their prescreening and prepare for your entrance to the clinic.
